We are Yi and Li, met during our master's program in product design in Norway. We found that not only do we have a shared passion and taste for design, but also a mutual love for puffed rice.

YILI in Chinese means a grain (of rice). The beauty and simplicity of rice inspire our brand and reflect the sense of joy and uniqueness of our creations. Founded by two like-minded and creative souls, YILI is an Oslo based Design Studio. We firmly believe that each rice grain is simple yet unique, just like our ordinary every day. 

YILI is devoted to excavating the beauties in the ordinary things, and through minimalistic, low-key, and warm design creativity, transform the forgotten in the plainsight into love and connection in the being. Starting from grain rice, let’s experience everyday aesthetics.

Rice is one of the essential grains; we are very grateful for its existence so that we can survive and live. At the same time, it reminds us to cherish every hard-won grain, not take life for granted. Therefore, YILI will give €1 donation from each purchase to the UN World Food Programme (WFP).
