KAO RO

The most ordinary utensils carry the most straightforward truth in life. The most ordinary every day defines who we are in the purest sense.

KAO RO is our ceramic collection. KAO derived from Kaolin Clay — discovered thousands of years ago from the Far East, where its flexibility and sturdiness formed in ideas and shapes that astounded the world, and RO — a Norwegian word which describes a state of quiet and tranquility, percolates a genuine sense of calm and stillness.

Made from raw clay, KAO RO has endured nature’s nourishment and time. This series includes a mug, a plate, and two-size bowls. All pieces inherit the essence of Kaolin clay, kept to endure heat and wear; they also embody the grounding effect of RO, allowing the most authentic tastes and scents to emerge. The soft curving forms fit comfortably in your hands, and the texture of the clay around the rim adds a rough but sleek touch.
